AC Repair: Corroded Evaporator Coil Replacement in West Palm Beach
Before
AfterThe problem: a Trane system in a 2007 single-family home near Belvedere Homes was freezing up every afternoon. The evaporator coil had been slowly corroding for years, a common issue in West Palm Beach because our coastal humidity pushes systems harder than the manufacturer ever intended. Airflow dropped until the coil iced over completely. What we did: recovered the remaining refrigerant, pulled the old coil, installed a new matched coil, pressure-tested the line set, recharged the system, and verified the temperature split at the supply and return. The result: a 19-degree temperature difference across the coil and a house that held 74 degrees on a 91-degree day. The repair carried a written guarantee for 365 days, as every repair we do does.
AC Maintenance: Neglected Condenser Unit Brought Back to Spec
Before
AfterThe problem: a Goodman condenser outside a townhouse near Northwood Hills had not been opened in at least four years. The fins were matted with dirt, grass clippings, and salt film from the ocean air. The compressor was running 30 to 40 degrees hotter than spec, and the homeowner was about to replace the entire system because it “just didn’t cool anymore.” What we did: pulled the fan assembly, applied a commercial-grade coil cleaner, straightened the most damaged fins, flushed the drain line, checked the capacitor and contactor, and measured the amp draw before and after. The result: compressor temperature dropped back into the normal range and amp draw fell by 3.2 amps. The unit started holding the setpoint again. A $289 maintenance visit saved a $7,000 replacement.
Furnace Repair: Ignitor Failure on a Cold January Night
Before
AfterThe problem: a Rheem furnace in a single-story home off Village Boulevard was blowing cold air. The hot surface ignitor had cracked, a failure we see regularly in West Palm Beach when furnaces sit unused for ten months and then get asked to perform on the first cold snap. The homeowner had no heat and two young kids in the house. What we did: confirmed the ignitor was the failure point with a multimeter, got the written price approved, replaced the ignitor with a new OEM part, and cycled the furnace three times to confirm reliable ignition. The result: heat at the registers within the hour. Most ignitor replacements like this run $150 to $300, parts and labor included, and this one was covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise.
AC Repair: Refrigerant Leak Found and Sealed

The problem: a Lennox heat pump in a condo near downtown West Palm Beach could only cool to 80 degrees. The owner had topped off the refrigerant twice in the past year through another company, which is a red flag, because refrigerant doesn’t burn up. It leaks. What we did: pressure-tested with nitrogen, found a pinhole leak at a braze joint in the line set, cut out the bad section, re-brazed the joint, pulled a deep vacuum, and recharged to the manufacturer’s exact weight specification. A refrigerant recharge, by the way, is simply refilling the fluid that moves heat out of your home. The result: the system held its charge and cooled to the setpoint for the first time in 14 months. The written guarantee stated exactly what was covered and for how long: one full year on the repair.
AC Maintenance: Duct Inspection Revealed Major Air Loss

The problem: a Bryant system in a 1998 home near South Olive was running constantly but the bedrooms never got comfortable. The homeowner assumed the system was undersized. During a maintenance visit, we found the real issue: a supply duct in the attic had separated at the collar and was blowing conditioned air into the attic. Roughly one-third of the system’s output never reached the house. What we did: reconnected the duct, sealed the joint with mastic, strapped it in place, and inspected the remaining seven connections. The result: the bedrooms started receiving airflow for the first time in years, and the system’s runtime dropped noticeably. None of this required new equipment, just a proper inspection that looked at the whole system rather than the box in the closet.
